Doin' somethin' else
Sep. 26th, 2008 06:24 pmToday was my last day at work; I'm now officially meant to be spending more time writing. What's actually happened is that because I'm currently on a GCSE syllabus, I am going into umpteen schools to talk about critiquing poems. Also some readings and teachers' inset days. Basically I have nine gigs to do between now and early December. (It's just as well I won't be going into work; there isn't time.) Still, it's a change and not exactly nine to five. Principally I'm looking forward to getting rid of the constant bumf that surrounded me at the uni. Students I might miss; staff I might miss, but that I shan't.

You will be missed
Date: 2008-09-26 10:03 pm (UTC)Thank you for teaching me that writing a novel isn't as scary as it first seems. I'm sure the university will have quite a challenge finding someone good enough to replace you.
I'll have to check my sister's syllabus to see if you're on it.
Best of luck with your non-tutoring,
- Dan Grosvenor
